Alaska
Alaska Brown Bears and Salmon Photography Workshop
Hearing “Alaska” conjures up images of bears, mountains, and undisturbed wilderness… and that is exactly why Natural Selections is going! The remarkable landscape of southern Alaska provides a stunning setting for our Brown Bears and Salmon Photography Workshop. Embrace this wild adventure and join us to swim with spawning salmon, safely photograph fishing Brown Bears, and watch majestic Bald Eagles as they hunt.
Alaskan salmon runs are one of nature’s great spectacles. Our workshop is timed to witness the spawning migrations of both Pink and Sockeye Salmon. We will have the opportunity to snorkel with both species and photograph them during their migrations. Where there are salmon, there are bears! When not underwater, we will have the chance to photograph some of the largest Brown Bears on Earth as they gorge themselves on the nutritious, fatty fish.
Led by world-class nature photographers, we will travel from Anchorage to the Russian River on the Kenai Peninsula and ultimately to Kodiak Island–capturing images of wildlife all along the way. While bears and salmon are the stars of the show, countless species of birds and mammals can be spotted along the way. Join us for this phenomenal photographic endeavor, sure to be an Alaskan adventure of a lifetime.
