Weather and climate
In September, Guyana experiences warm, tropical weather with temperatures ranging from 75-90°F (24-32°C). This month is part of the wet season, so expect frequent afternoon showers and high humidity levels. Rainfall can be heavy at times, particularly in rainforests, while the savanna regions may be slightly drier. Despite the rain, birding opportunities remain excellent, as many species are active during and after showers. It’s advisable to pack light, breathable clothing and waterproof gear.
